It's not always easy to find our balance, both on the mat and in our lives. Some days are easier than others, and often we feel insecure and wobbly, as though our world will come crashing down at any moment.
When practising Vrksasana, try to remember that just like the tree, you also have hidden roots below your surface that can help you to stabilise. Often we forget that deep within us we already have the tools we need to help us to stand tall and the strength we need to rise up from the dirt.
Once we find our balance we become more centred and we can start to focus unwaveringly on what lies ahead. Our flexibility allows us to sway with the breeze, yet our strength keeps us resilient against the blowing winds, whilst we continue to grow steadily into the light.
